Recently, Pompeo and Adrian Zenz fabricated lies and accused China of the so-called “forced labor” against Uygurs. Their intention was to smear and attack the human rights situation in Xinjiang, in an attempt to split China and contain its development. As a native Party member and government official in Xinjiang as well as a witness and beneficiary of the stable progress of Xinjiang, I am very indignant!

In 2019, I was lucky enough to be assigned to work at the grass-roots level government. During the work, I witnessed the touching scenes of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang contributing to the progress of Xinjiang jointly. I felt the sincerity of the Party and the government in seeking happiness for the people. The government sent experts to popularize modern agricultural technology for farmers, teach advanced breeding technology of pigeons, sheep and cattle, assist farmers’ application for loans, and establish pigeon breeding cooperatives and cattle and sheep cooperatives. Previously, farmers had to sell their beef and mutton on the street by themselves, but now they are all purchased and sold by cooperatives. Today, villages are connected with asphalt roads, natural gas and tap water. When night falls, neat courtyards are illuminated by bright street lights, showing a particularly warm and harmonious picture.

Some villagers moved into tidy housing from remote mountainous areas and pastoral areas. Everyone enjoys rural cooperative medical care so that if they fell ill, the cost will be covered by the government. The government provides free education for 15 years for free. Some villagers don’t want to graze animals or plant crops anymore, they can choose to work in the factories with information provided by the government. They are living a prosperous life.

Pompeo and Adrian Zenz’s despicable behavior and shameful tactics will not succeed. We firmly believe that any defamation cannot block the process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and any rumour cannot erase the facts of the development and progress of human rights in Xinjiang.
