Usman Balat,Party Secretary of the People’s Procuratorate of Luntai County
Pompeo and Adrian Zenz deliberately smeared the happy life of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, accusing China’s Xinjiang-related policies of “genocide” and “crimes against humanity”. This is a malicious insult to the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. I am extremely indignant of Pompeo and Adrian Zenz’s lies concerning Xinjiang and must express my strong opposition and condemnation!
My name is Usman Balat, a native of Luntai County and a witness to the unity and harmonious development of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. Since the reform and opening up, our life has undergone earth-shaking changes: from food and clothing deficiency in the past to the present food and clothing carefree; from the previous cart pulled by donkey to the present private cars; from the previous straw house, earth block house to the present seismic housing and buildings; from the former dusty dirt road, Gobi road to the present asphalt road and highway; from the previous deficit in medical and educational resources to the free national health examination and compulsory education, etc. These are real changes surrounding us. According to statistics, the total population and population of ethnic groups in Xinjiang have been steadily increasing in recent years, and the growth rate of the Uygur population is much higher than that of the whole Xinjiang. Pompeo, Adrian Zenz, is this what you call “genocide”?
Pompeo, Adrian Zenz, the “forced labor” in your lies is even ridiculous. The village of Tuohula, which I’m in contact, is composed of many ethnic groups. All ethnic groups respect, assist and appreciate each other. They are united closely like pomegranate seeds. Many farmers and herdsmen acquired a variety of skills in order to live a happier life. They have left the family chores and the countryside, embarking on the road to prosperity. The villagers are also having a good life through the development of forestry and fruit industry, aquaculture and entrepreneurship. They are living an ever improving life with enough money in the pocket to cheer them up. Pompeo and Adrian Zenz, do you call this “forced labor”?
Pompeo and Adrian Zenz, you need to stop your fantasy of damaging relations between different ethnic groups in Xinjiang through calling black and white and talking nonsense, and destroying the hard-won stability and unity in Xinjiang. Don’t be absurd! Every member of the Chinese nation’s family will not be blinded by your lies, nor will they change the firm strides in continuous unity and progress because of your wanton stigmatization and smear. Your absurd performance will end as a poor farce.
