Mayila Wusiman,Vice Director of the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture
Mike Pompeo and Adrian Zenz constantly publicly accused China of violating human rights in their fallacies about Xinjiang, which is another big lie. Facts are better than eloquence. Only Xinjiang people have the most say in the development status and human rights in Xinjiang, and my personal experience is the most powerful proof.
I am a native Uygur cadre, and was born in an ordinary family in Korla City. My parents are from Payzawat County and both studied in university in the 1960s. They were assigned jobs after graduation, my father a civil servant, and my mother a teacher. Since childhood, my parents kept telling us about the earth-shaking changes in Xinjiang after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. We are the witnesses and beneficiaries of Xinjiang’s progress. After graduating from college in 1999, I went back to my hometown of Korla and became a civil servant. In my working career and life, leaders and colleagues of all ethnic groups have given me great support and assistance. I have never heard, nor experienced the so-called exclusion, oppression and discrimination against Uygurs proposed by Pompeo and Adrian Zenz. On the contrary, I have co-worked with colleagues of all ethnic groups to serve enterprises in the field of industrial economy and contribute my own strength to the economic development of Bayingolin. In my field, I have witnessed the increase in the gross regional product of Bayingolin in the past 20 years from 13.8 billion yuan in 2000 to 14.9 billion yuan in 2019. Is this not the solid evidence of the harmony, stability, economic development and people’s happy life in Xinjiang?
In 2017, I went to Harbure Village, Yanqi County to work. In the past three years, the village has undergone remarkable changes. The mud road has become asphalt road, and the clay house has become brick house. The village’s appearance and living environment have been continuously improved. Villagers who were willing to work have also participated in training for free to master professional skills, and the government assisted them in finding jobs. Today, the villagers are living a much more content life as they become more open-minded and are better acquainted with employment skills. All this comes from the care and help provided by the Party and government to the people of all ethnic groups. The current social harmony and stability, national unity and fraternity, and people’s peaceful and content life in Harbure Village present us a beautiful picture of prosperity. These changes are not only the microcosm of the social stability and development in Xinjiang, but also a true portrayal of Xinjiang.
Xinjiang’s today is in its best development period. The people of Xinjiang will never be abducted by the shameless lies of Pompeo and Adrian Zenz. We firmly believe that Xinjiang will have a better tomorrow!
