GLOBALink | Xinjiang, My home: What makes a tailor shop owner proud?

URUMQI, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Mehap Ahmad is a tailor with 24 years of experience in Tacheng, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. She now runs a tailor shop in an enterprise zone with preferential policies.

She holds training courses for free for those in her community who are interested in making clothes, and invites female tailors to work in her shop. She also works hard to be a role model for her two kids, a son and a daughter, both of whom are doing well in their studies.
