On June 23, the US Department of Commerce added our company in the Entity List and imposed on us unjustifiable sanctions in the name of the so-called “suspected violation of human rights of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang”. We strongly condemn and firmly oppose it!
Since its establishment 10 years ago, as a private enterprise, Xinjiang East Hope Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd.. has always strictly observed relevant national laws and regulations, scrupulously abided by business ethics, fulfilled its social responsibility and operated in accordance with the law. With stable operation and good economic benefits, the company has made substantial contributions to local taxation and employment.
Our company strictly protects the legitimate rights and interests of employees of all ethnic groups in accordance with the law. Based on the principle of equality, voluntariness and consensus, we recruit employees openly, sign labor contracts with employees in accordance with the law, strictly fulfill the contract, and protect the rights of employees of all ethnic groups including labor remuneration, rest and vacation, labor safety and health protection, social insurance and welfare, etc..
Our company provides stable and reliable sources of income for employees of all ethnic groups. Most of the employees have grown from farmers with a meager income to become excellent industrial workers. The average monthly salary of our company’s employees is several thousand yuan, far exceeding their previous income. Some employees bought their private cars, while some bought their apartments in the nearby city, living a modern life.
Our company actively improves the living, entertainment and recreational facilities of employees. A large staff activity center, swimming pool, basketball court and other cultural and recreational facilities are readily available to all employees. A variety of recreational and sports activities are often organized to enrich the leisure time of employees and help them learn and make progress in their work and life.
The alleged “suspected violation of the human rights of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang” by the US Department of Commerce is nothing but a lie and a groundless slander. We hereby strongly urge the US to correct their wrongdoings immediately! Continuing to uphold our corporate culture of “Honesty, Integrity and Justice”, with joint efforts of our employees of all ethnic groups, we will push forward the cause of nonferrous metals and make new contributions to the society!
