At 13:45 on January 28, 2022, the first flight from Urumqi City to Zhaosu County, operated by Xinjiang Branch of China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. landed at Zhaosu Tianma Airport in Zhaosu County, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China’s Xinjiang, marking that Xinjiang's first plateau airport was officially put into operation and Zhaosu County bid farewell to the history of not being accessible by flights.
