Flocks of demoiselle cranes come for spring in Mulei, NW China’s Xinjiang

In April, spring has come, and everything comes back to life again in the Grassland Karez Museum scenic spot in the northern part of Mulei Kazakh Autonomous County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China’s Xinjiang. Thousands of demoiselle cranes come and gather on the grassland in spring, showing a spectacular scene. They live in groups, sometimes foraging in the grassland, sometimes rushing into the sky, leisurely and comfortably.

In recent years, the ecological environment of Mulei County is getting better and better. Every year at the end of winter and the beginning of spring, a large number of migratory birds come to the Grassland Karez Museum scenic spot to rest and forage, so as to replenish energy.
