“We have planted 60 mu of apple trees, in addition to relying on cooperatives and orders from domestic and foreign merchants for sales, my wife opened her Douyin (Tik Tok’s Chinese version) account in 2019, and posted videos on Douyin for promotion, and was engaged in live commerce. Now she has nearly 50,000 fans, and she not only sells apples for her family, but also makes her contributions to the cooperative,” said He Xianguo.

There are more than 90,000 mu of fruits planted in the Linhai Community of Hongqipo District, Aksu City, half of which are apple trees. In recent years, with the interaction of online and offline marketing, Aksu's "crystal sugar core apple", which was originally unique in quality, has become a popular fruit. Scientific and accurate management is an important reason why He Xianguo's family is as prosperous as apple.

"My experience in fruit tree management has been developed over the years. Due to the high requirements for fruit tree management, how to manage each step of growing apple trees from budding in spring to falling leaves in winter is based on formulation of corresponding management standards. In the Linhai community, more and more growers have realized the benefits of scientific and accurate management of fruit trees. In 2014, I took the lead in establishing the Fengqingyuan Fruit Farmers Professional Cooperative in Aksu Prefecture to provide technical guidance services for fruit farmers, and trained a group of skilled apprentices." Du Minchao, head of the Fengqingyuan Fruit Farmers Professional Cooperative in Aksu Prefecture, has excellent skills and is the man who leads the members of the cooperative to get well-off through hard work.

"In 2021, our yield per mu of land exceeded 2 tons, and the net income per mu was more than 5,000 yuan. I was very happy. I believe that after a year of scientific planting this year, we will usher in another bumper harvest!" said Jia Xiaocui, a member of the cooperative who was cooking for more than 20 migrant workers involved in fruit thinning and setting.

In recent years, Xinjiang has vigorously implemented the construction of high-quality fruit production bases around the Tarim Basin. Growers have spontaneously formed large and small cooperatives, and with the help of science and technology, the fruit industry has become a pillar industry for the people in southern Xinjiang to increase their income. Aksu, located in southern Xinjiang, is named for its water and famous for its apples.

Today, the Aksu Bingtangxin apples watered by the snow in the Tianshan Mountains have enriched the people in Aksu Prefecture.
