Bosten Lake “turns” Kaidu River into Kongque River

On August 7, 2022, meandering along the Kaidu River and passing through Hejing County, Yanqi County and Bohu County, we arrived at a place called Huangshuigou. Kaidu River, as the largest river flowing into Bosten Lake, has become a part of China's largest inland freshwater lake from here. At the other end of Bosten Lake, the water level is raised by two pump stations in the east and west of the lake, forming two main channels, converging into the Kongque River and flowing toward the Tarim River.
