All ski resorts in Xinjiang have a good start in passenger flow

At present, there are 84 ski resorts in Xinjiang, among which 36 are S-level ski resorts, including 5 5S-level and 6 4S-level ski resorts. In addition to Tianshan Tianchi International Ski Resort, which is preparing for operation, the other four 5S-level ski resorts have opened to welcome guests. And the wax on ski boards in 4S-level ski resorts is being scraped one after another.

As the first ski resort to open for business in Xinjiang, Keketuohai International Ski Resort has welcomed nearly 100 self-driving skiers from Xi'an, Chongqing and other places since December 9, 2022. "The proportion of skiers from outside Xinjiang has gradually increased and now accounts for nearly 80%," Feng Kai, executive vice general manager of Keketuohai Taiyun Tourism Investment Development Co., Ltd. in Fuyun County, said. Among the 13 Wechat groups of ski enthusiasts that he is a member of, skiers from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and other places are also preparing to come in teams. At present, there are four clubs that have organized several ski teams with nearly 100 members each, and they will set off one after another in the near future.

The ski resort in Zhaosu County is the first ski resort opened in Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture. Ski runs and ice and snow recreation facilities are fully open. "This weekend, the number of tourists in the surrounding counties increased significantly," Hou Junguang, Chairman of Muge Culture Tourism Development Investment Group Co., Ltd. in Zhaosu County, said. At less than 14:00 on December 11, 2022, the parking lot of the ski resort was full of cars. In addition to Zhaosu County, ski enthusiasts from nearby Tekes County also made a special trip, and the number of skiers on that day exceeded 1,200.

Baiyun International Ski Resort, located in Urumqi County, fully opened primary ski runs and middle-level ski suns last weekend. On December 11, 2022, the ski resort received more than 1,700 skiers. "In the past week, the number of skiers has obviously increased." Chen Liansheng, general manager of the ski resort, said that coaches were hard to find at the ski resort on that day. "At noon, the coaches are not enough!" Cheng Yuchao, captain of the skiing coach team, said that there were 210 skiing coaches at the ski resort, and at about 13:00, the coach lounge was empty.

On December 10, 2022, the Longshan Ski Resort in Karamay City and the Tianshan Tuofeng Ski Resort in Wensu County successively opened. Longshan Ski Resort had about 600 tourists each day in the last two days since opening. At present, the primary ski runs and the snow tube runs are open, and the senior ski run is expected to open around December 20. Zhu Ruifeng, the chairman of the board, said: "I believe more and more tourists will come to the resort as the facilities are fully opened."

Tianshan Tuofeng Ski Resort launched a free skiing activity on December 10, 2022, attracting more than 700 skiing enthusiasts to come and experience. Zhang Yan, the general manager of the ski resort, said, “On the first day, the number of visitors reached half of its peak, which was a good start. We have also launched special offers such as free skiing for B&Bs and free tickets for scenic spots, which we believe will attract more tourists.”
