Embroidering brings happy life for women in Changji City, NW China’s Xinjiang

Photo taken on Jan, 7, 2023 shows embroiderers make colorful felts at the Yesili Ethnic Embroidery Professional Cooperative of Erdaoshui Village in Ashili Township in Changji City, northwest China’s Xinjiang. Women of the cooperative knit colorful felts, tapestries, clothing and other traditional Kazak handicrafts together. The cooperative was established in 2014, and has more than 20 members. In addition to making felts, Kazak ethnic clothing and various embroideries are produced and sold in the cooperative. The cooperative becomes more and more popular with the continuing expand of its business, and is gaining more and more benefits. It has an annual output of 200,000 yuan.
