In order to make the sand control plants play a better role in sand prevention and fixation, recently, Qiemo County organized personnel to trim 20,000 mu of Haloxylon ammodendron in the wind and sand control workstation. Since 1998, Qiemo County has built an ecological green corridor with a length of about 25 kilometers, a width of 1 to 7 kilometers, and an area of about 125,000 mu in the desert area to the east of the Qarqan River, effectively preventing the desert from eroding the oasis. The local dust weather has decreased significantly, and the annual precipitation has increased significantly. (Photo by Su Xin)
