With half a month left before cotton sowing, the members of the Julianxin Planting Professional Cooperative in Beiwucha Town, Manas County, were already engaged in busy stuff, adjusting the agricultural machinery and equipment needed during spring ploughing to the optimal state.

"We will use this period of time to comprehensively overhaul more than 700 sets of agricultural machinery and equipment in the cooperative to ensure that all kinds of agricultural machinery can be put into spring ploughing in the best state," said Pan Tianyu, chairman of the Julianxin Planting Professional Cooperative.

According to reports, during the spring ploughing period, agricultural machinery operations in the whole region are mainly ploughing, plowing, fertilizing, and sowing. Recently, various departments in various places have actively carried out the maintenance, overhaul, and commissioning of agricultural machinery, and have organized the deployment of machinery in different places and cross-regional operations. At present, Xinjiang has completed the maintenance of 658,200 pieces of agricultural machinery, completed the safety inspection of 260,000 pieces of agricultural machinery, and trained 240,000 agricultural machinery management and technical personnel, such as agricultural machinery operators and repairers. The supply of agricultural machinery operations in most areas can meet the demand, and cross-regional operations are mainly based on cross-county operations.

In the next step, agricultural and rural departments at all levels will make overall preparations for agricultural machinery and agronomy, integrate and widely promote the application of precision seeding, high-efficiency fertilization, precision pesticide application, high-efficiency water-saving technology, and high-horsepower, high-performance mechanical equipment technology. According to actual needs, various forms of technical training will be organized to help farmers master new concepts and knowledge, and further improve the availability of new technologies for spring ploughing.
