Takshken Port exports goods to Germany for the first time

Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Chen Qiangwei) news: On March 23, 2023, the cargo truck carrying 13.08 tons of general merchandise passed through the Takshken Port after being successfully declared at Altay Customs. It will pass through Mongolia, Lithuania, Poland and finally arrive in Germany. This is the first time that Takshken Port has exported goods to Germany.

Takshken Port is the largest land port for Xinjiang to carry out trade with Mongolia, and it is also an important transport channel for the "the Belt and Road" to the west. The goods took about 10,000 kilometers from the Takshken Port in Xinjiang, China to the Bayern in German.

"The goods started from Guangdong and left from the port in 5 days, with very efficient customs clearance." Li Xiaosheng, head of the land transportation department of Cargofuture Logisitcs Co., Ltd., said that as an international freight forwarding company, we have imported and exported goods through various ports in Xinjiang for a long time. This is the first time that our company has exported goods to Germany through the Takshken Port.

Li Xiaosheng said that according to the experience, April and May are the months of recovery of international land transport. In order to meet the increasing demand for international freight transport, enterprises make full use of the advantages of the numerous ports in Xinjiang to develop new land transport routes and improve the efficiency of cargo transport, which is conducive to improving the market competitiveness of freight forwarding enterprises.

"We will actively cooperate with relevant departments, give full play to the advantages of ports, provide efficient and high-quality services for enterprises, improve customs clearance efficiency, and drive the development of the foreign trade logistics industry in Altay Prefecture," said Huang Qun, customs director of Altay Customs.
