The Karamay Wildlife Conservation Association has observed more than 100 common cranes migrating to Karamay City from the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Tarim Basin and other wintering places in late March for two consecutive years. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the local ecological environment and the enhancement of people's awareness of protecting wild animals, more and more wild animals have multiplied in the wetlands and desert areas around Karamay City.
