Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter: Otkur Nijat) news: On August 4, 2023, as we walked into the Hathpace Folk Houses scenic spot in Kashgar, we caught sight of earthy houses and ancient alleys. The scenic spot is located on a highland south of the Tuman River in Kashgar City, with more than 40 alleys crisscrossing it. Preserved as a heritage park, it has more than 600 houses built of mud and poplar wood. The Hathpace Folk Houses scenic spot covers an area of only one-tenth of the old town of Kashgar. In June 2023, this scenic spot was renovated and opened to the public.

The Hathpace Folk Houses scenic spot in Kashgar now has traditional intangible cultural heritage stores and modern shops such as Atlas silk workshops, earthenware workshops, coffee shops, photo studios, book stores, and homestays. Right now, for it being a new popular scenic spot, tourists from all over the country come and visit.
