Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Cai Zengle) news: Up to now, there are 21 China-Europe (Central Asia) freight train routes in Urumqi International Land Port Area, reaching 19 countries and 26 cities in Central Asia, the Middle East and East Europe. And a total of more than 7,000 China-Europe freight trains were launched from here.
In recent years, the Urumqi International Land Port Area has continuously built the hub economic circle with "multimodal transport" as the core, and adopted the logistics organization mode of "transit and consolidation", so that the China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains don’t just pass by Urumqi but assemble here. It also formed an operation way that is multi-point and multi-directional, linking up the countries along the Silk Road, and activating the "engine" of logistics. The hub status of the Urumqi Land Port Area is becoming more and more prominent, providing new impetus for the construction of the Belt and Road.
