As of September 11, 2023, there are 4,652 China-Europe freight trains passing through Alashankou Railway Station, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, an increase of 9.2% year-on-year.

Since the beginning of 2023, Alashankou Railway Station has further optimized its organization model, strengthened coordination and cooperation with Alashankou Customs, Alashankou Border Inspection Station and other departments, continuously improved the level of precise transportation and transportation channel capacity, and provided strong transportation support for the smooth operation of China-Europe freight trains.

In 2023, Alashankou Railway Station launched a broad-gauge loading service, reducing the times of transshipment through Alashankou Railway Station to Central Asia, Europe, and other places, improving transportation efficiency. In order to ensure the stable and smooth operation of the China-Europe freight trains, the Alashankou Customs has continuously improved its service capabilities, established a dedicated window for the China-Europe freight train, opened up a green channel, and provided a "one-stop" service for the trains' customs clearance. It has also deepened the cooperation along the route, established a "point-to-point" contact and cooperation mechanism with the customs of origins, handled abnormal situations in a quick manner, and done a good job in supervising goods on the trains in the entire process. At present, there are a total of 111 China-Europe freight train routes passing through the Alashankou Railway Station, reaching 21 countries such as Germany and Poland. More than 200 types of goods in 8 categories are carried by the trains, including automobiles and accessories, cotton yarn, wood, etc.
