See Xinjiang's Development in its Ports: Booming economy at Alataw Pass

Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Tang Yong) news: On November 3, 2023, inbound and outbound China-Europe freight trains and other freight trains await departure from the marshalling yard of the Alashankou Station in Alataw Pass, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

As of September this year, 6,850 freight trains passed through Alataw Pass, of which 4,943 were China-Europe and Central Asia freight trains, an increase of 7.06 percent compared with previous years. With the location and policy advantages, in recent years, Alataw Pass has vigorously developed imported logistics warehousing, imported grain and oil processing, export equipment manufacturing and other key industries, and accelerated its transformation from "channel economy" to "industrial economy" .
