See Xinjiang’s Development in its ports: From January to September, the customs clearance volume of Horgos highway port increased by 115.3 percent year-on-year

Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Tang Yong) news: On November 7, 2023, cage trucks, large trucks and heavy trucks carrying vehicles left the customs supervisory area of Horgos Port to Kazakhstan, and were bound for Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other BRI participating countries.

According to the data from the Horgos exit-entry frontier inspection station, by November 3, 2023, commodity vehicles exported from the Horgos highway port exceeded 100,000, reaching 101,148, a year-on-year increase of 177.3 percent.

From January to September, 2023, the Horgos highway port achieved 1.359 million tons of import and export freight volume, a year-on-year increase of 115.3 percent, handled 178,700 entry and exit vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 178.9 percent, and recorded a total of 460,600 entry-exit persons.
