Since late September 2023, many areas of Altay Prefecture in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have been snow-covered. The Hemu and Kanas scenic spots in Burqin County, Altay City, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, also had heavy snowfall.

Snowy mountains, sea of clouds, rime and small wooden houses decorate this place as a quiet fairy tale world, attracting tourists from all over the world to visit and enjoy the scenery.

Recently, the Jiangjunshan International Ski Resort in Altay City opened, attracting many skiing enthusiasts to experience ice and snow sports and enjoy the charm of winter.
