"As for me, this is a great place! It's so beautiful. There is no such beautiful snow scene in the Philippines. It's like I’m walking into a dreamland. I'm sure that Xinjiang, China, will definitely be loved by Filipinos. China and the Philippines have strong complementarity in tourism resources, and mutual business inspection team exchanges would be preferred," said Bai Aiwen, Erwin Fernandez Balane, tourism counselor of the Philippine Embassy in China, who visited Xinjiang for the first time.

"Ice and snow industry is a burgeoning green industry. Expanding ice and snow tourism not only satisfies the high-quality development demands of the tourism industry, but also serves as a crucial means to foster cultural and tourism exchanges and collaborations between China and foreign countries," said Gul Ablim , deputy secretary of leading Party members group and director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Walking down the winding mountain road, the spruce trees are dark green and the water is tranquil. Along the way, Wang Qi, deputy director of the Xinjiang Tianchi Management Committee, introduced to the guests the different scenery of Tianchi throughout the year.

"This is my second visit to Xinjiang, and Xinjiang is a place worth coming over and over again. This time, we can see that the ice and snow tourism in Xinjiang has made great progress.” Zhao Hui, a member of the Party Group and deputy director of Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said, "Chinese people have had a special affection for snow and ice since ancient times. We entrust our emotions to the snow and ice.”

Xinjiang Reception Hall has an indoor area of approximately 16,000 square meters. It uses I-Ride technology to display the natural beauty of Tianshan Tianchi Lake and Bogda Peak. And it is a diversified high-tech tourist attraction that integrates immersive experiences and creativity.

Guests of the visiting group watched the film “Flying Over China,” and experienced rapid ascent, weightlessness, diving, and gliding through VR equipment and flying chairs in a 16-meter-high, 20-meter-diameter dome. They also experienced special effects such as mist and wind, making the viewing process thrilling and exciting.

Shen Han, a professor at the Department of Tourism in Fudan University, said, “We can see that tourism in Xinjiang has made a qualitative leap in recent years, especially in the construction of tourism-supporting facilities and the development of new tourism products, which is commendable.”

On December 9, the visiting group also visited places such as the Xinjiang Museum, the Silk Road Mountain Resort, and the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar. More than 100 people including officials from culture and tourism departments, diplomatic envoys to China, representatives of well-known tourism enterprises, and experts and scholars participated in this tour activity. Everyone generally expressed that Xinjiang is a nice place, with magnificent winter scenery and abundant ice and snow tourism products, and is worth recommending to the world.

In the face of the new ice and snow season, Xinjiang has also prepared a "feast" for ice and snow tourism. Currently, the 17th Xinjiang Winter Tourism Trade Fair and the 2023 Xinjiang Snow Festival are under preparation. At that time, the brand-new image of the ice and snow industry in Xinjiang will once again be displayed in front of global tourists.
