A bumper harvest of millet

"Desert millet" is a high-yield hybrid millet with high-quality cultivated by scientific research institutions in Xinjiang, which has the functions of water saving, environmental protection, sand prevention and control, and can also help farmers increase their income. The yield of the "desert millet" demonstration field in Kumuxilike Township, Shule County, Kashi Prefecture, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has exceeded 400 kilograms per mu (one mu equals 0.067 hectares), creating a record of high yield of multiple sowing millets in southern Xinjiang.
