Connecting Yuli County and Qiemo County of Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, the desert highway traverses the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert, and with a total length of 334 kilometers, it is the desert highway with the longest mileage and that has the most difficult construction in the world.
