From October 31 to November 4, 2023, Mohammed Sayeb, Deputy Director of Department of Cooperation and External Relations, Ministry of Religious and Fundraising Affairs of Algeria, visited Urumqi City, Kashi Prefecture and Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Through this visit to Xinjiang, he gained a comprehensive and objective understanding of the region's economic and social development and spoke highly of the freedom of religious belief in Xinjiang.

Mohammed Sayeb said that lies about so called "genocide" and "forced labor" in Xinjiang fabricated by Western media give them a false image of Xinjiang. Through the trip, he witnessed how the cultural heritage of ethnic minorities are protected and saw the real Xinjiang.
