Tianshannet-Xinjiang Daily (Li Yang, Zhang Yunmei) news: The Second Session of the 13th Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened on the morning of January 29, 2024, at the Xinjiang People's Hall in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Seated at the rostrum were Ma Xingrui, Ismail Tiliwaldi, Erkin Tuniyaz, Zumrat Obul, Shawkat Imin, Ashat Kerimbay, Li Yifei, He Zhongyou, Zhang Zhu, Tian Xiangli, Chen Weijun, Wang Mingshan, Wang Jianxin, Yusupjan Mamat, and Ilzat Ahmatjan.

Nurlan Abdumanjin, chairman of the Xinjiang Committee of the CPPCC, vice-chairmen of the Xinjiang Committee of the CPPCC, Jerla Isamudinhe, Kong Xinglong, Dou Wangui, Yang Yong, Abudurehap Tumuniyaz, Nuremu Simayihan, Eziz Musa, Liu Huijun, Liu Jianming, Pu Xuemei, Xu Xianyi, Hasanjan Ahmat, Jin Zhizhen, and Gao Jianghuai, secretary-general of the Xinjiang Committee of the CPPCC, were seated in the front rows on the rostrum.

Nurlan Abdumanjin, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the 13th Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee of the CPPCC, made a report. Some foreign diplomats in China, representatives of international organizations, overseas Chinese, and compatriots in China’s Hong Kong and Macao were invited to sit in on the opening meeting.
