An Jong-euk, a hairdresser from the Republic of Korea, has been living in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for nearly 20 years.

An is now more like a Xinjiang local as his favorite food now includes hand-pulled noodles, big-plate chicken, grilled mutton kebabs and pilaf.

In his eyes, Xinjiang is a vast place with delicious delicacies and hospitable people.

The year of 2024 is the Year of the Dragon. An's Chinese zodiac sign is also the dragon. In this special year, he wishes his family and friends, as well as Xinjiang, a much better future.
