Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Zhou Peng) news: On the morning of March 26, 2024, Mamat Tiemur, a villager from Youkakeyingwusitang Village of Baishitugeman Township, Aksu City, went to the Dolan River to watch waterbirds.

"I don't know their name, but I think the waterbirds with red or green colors on their heads are particularly beautiful. We can see otters, wild rabbits, and waterbirds here now. Nowadays, with a better environment, more and more wild animals have appeared," said Mamat Tiemur.

Aksu Prefecture is rich in wild animal and plant resources. In recent years, with the continuous promotion of ecological civilization construction in the region, the living environment of wild animals and plants has been greatly improved, and the number and variety of wild animals and plants continue to increase. Statistics show that as of now, there are more than 270 species of wild animals in Aksu Prefecture.
