Migratory birds soar over Bosten Lake, NW China's Xinjiang

As the weather warms up, Bosten Lake in Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture welcomed a large number of migratory birds to settle here. They either hovered in the air or played close to the water, foraging and chasing, forming a magnificent spring picture of a hundred birds gathering in the ecological landscape.

Bosten Lake, with a water area of 1,646 square kilometers, is the largest inland freshwater lake in China. It is also an important habitat and transfer station for migratory birds. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the local ecological environment and the increasing awareness of protecting wildlife among the public, the number of migratory birds has been increasing year by year.
