Migratory birds fly to Ayding Lake in Turpan City, NW China’s Xinjiang

Ayding Lake, also known as Moonlight Lake, is located in the lowest depression of the Turpan Basin, with an altitude of minus 155 meters, making it the lowest point in China and one of the major depressions in the world. In recent years, the implementation of the ecological protection and management project of Ayding Lake in Turpan City has achieved significant results. The lake area has been increasing year by year, and the ecology of the lake area has gradually recovered. Wild birds such as swans, wild ducks, geese, and egrets come here to breed. The core area presents a beautiful picture of "blue sky, green land, and clear water."
