The number of China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains passing through the Horgos railway port and Alataw Pass has steadily increased, and more and more products "Made in China" are choosing to move from Xinjiang railway ports to the Central Asian and European markets.

"With the steady growth of the number of freight trains, the categories of goods transported by the trains have gradually increased from agricultural and sideline products and industrial products, to more than 200 kinds of cars, precision instruments, electronic components, etc. In the first quarter of 2024, a total of 12,000 commercial vehicles were exported to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries through China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains," said Yang Liye, dispatcher of the Safety Production Command Center of Horgos railway port.

"Horgos Customs has continued to implement the reform of fast-track customs clearance, improved the supervision model, provided a 24-hour non-stop customs clearance service for China-Europe freight trains, and achieved seamless connection of enterprise declaration, customs supervision, and railway reloading. At present, there are more than 20 trains passing through Horgos railway port every day," said Zhao Yuanfeng, deputy chief of the Third Section of Horgos Customs Supervision.
