Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Fan Qiongyan, Intern Yang Yanyu ) news: On April 22, 2024, the Xinjiang Postal Administration announced the operation condition of the Xinjiang postal industry in the first quarter of 2024. The data shows that in the first quarter, the express delivery volume in Xinjiang reached 85.56 million items, with express delivery revenue amounting to 1.62 billion yuan (about 223.72 million U.S. dollars), representing year-on-year growth of 30.15 percent and 22.34 percent respectively.

In the first quarter of 2024, the postal industry in Xinjiang handled 212.904 million items, a year-on-year increase of 9.61 percent. The business revenue of the postal industry (excluding direct revenue from Postal Saving Bank of China) reached 2.408 billion yuan (about 332.34 million U.S. dollars), an increase of 14.79 percent compared to the same period last year. Both the volume and revenue growth rates of express delivery in Xinjiang exceeded the national average.

In the first quarter of 2024, the volume of local express deliveries in Xinjiang reached 15.32 million items, a 39.81 percent increase year-on-year; while long-distance deliveries reached 69.97 million items, up by 27.88 percent; about 0.27 million items were for international business in Xinjiang, up 321.40 percent annually. Local, long-distance, and international express delivery volumes accounted for 17.90 percent, 81.79 percent, and 0.31 percent of the total express delivery volume, respectively.

In March alone, the business revenue of the postal industry in Xinjiang reached 0.78 billion yuan (about 107.92 million U.S. dollars), a year-on-year increase of 3.64 percent. Specifically, the volume of express deliveries was 28.42 million items, up by 9.39 percent, with express delivery revenue reaching 0.5 billion yuan (about 69.28 million U.S. dollars), a 2.88 percent increase year-on-year.
