The migratory birds in the Kekesu Wetland show a beautiful ecological picture in NW China’s Xinjiang

On May 4, 2024, flocks of migratory birds inhabited the Altay Kekeksu Wetland National Nature Reserve in Altay Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. They sometimes rest on branches, sometimes play on the lake, and fly in the air, creating a harmonious ecological landscape against the backdrop of blue sky, clear water, and lush forest.

Altay Kekesu Wetland National Nature Reserve is located in the desert plain area in front of the Altai Mountains in the southwest of Altay City. It is an important composite ecosystem integrating rivers, lakes, marshes, meadows, grasslands, deserts and other ecological landscape types. In recent years, Altay City has vigorously improved the ecological environment and provided a good habitat for wild animals, so that people can often see wild animals such as swans, golden eagles, and otters in the outdoors.
