The monthly volume of China-Europe freight trains passing through the Horgos Railway Port exceeds 600

Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Zhou Peng) news: On May 8, 2024, the Horgos railway port and Horgos highway port located in Horgos City were bustling with China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains, and the number of trains passing through the Horgos railway port has remained above 20 per day this year. Additionally, for the past three consecutive months, the number of trains passing through Horgos railway port has remained above 600 per month. From the first China-Europe freight train departing from here in 2016 to the end of March this year, the total number of China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains passing through Horgos railway port has exceeded 35,000, and the total number of train routes has reached 80. This extensive railway network spans across 18 countries, 45 cities and regions.

Currently, the Horgos railway port and Horgos highway port are primarily involved in importing mechanical and electrical products, unwrought copper and copper materials, agricultural products, food, metal ore, and ore. The trade volume of imported agricultural products and food has increased significantly. The main export commodities include new energy vehicles, mechanical and electrical products, high-tech products, and clothing, etc. The trade volume of new energy vehicles has increased by more than three times compared to the same period last year.
