"Kenswat" means "the place where flows converge" in Mongolian. Due to the construction of a water conservancy dam, the Manas River gathers and forms a mountainous lake, known as the Kenswat Lake. The lake water comes from the glacier in the middle section of the northern slopes of the Tianshan Mountains, clear and peaceful, like an emerald embedded in the mountains.
