The FTZ has since embarked on an array of reform initiatives, marking a robust start to its development. By the end of May, 2024, a total of 51 tasks had been implemented, achieving significant progress. From January to April this year, the total import and export volume of the Xinjiang FTZ reached 38.5 billion yuan (about 5.31 billion U.S. dollars), accounting for 27.92 percent of the total import and export volume of Xinjiang. Since inception, the FTZ has welcomed over 4,000 new enterprises to settle down, achieving a total of 24,000 enterprises.
