On June 12, 2024, during the International Forum on the History and Future of Xinjiang, China, John Grimm, senior research scholar and senior lecturer at the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies of Yale University expressed that the hospitality of the people in Xinjiang made a quite impression on him when he last visited Xinjiang. He said that Xinjiang people are welcoming outsiders to come and see Xinjiang.
