Recently, the International Forum on "The History and Future of Xinjiang, China" was held in Kashi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, co-hosted by Minzu University of China, Peking University, and Kashi University. During a roundtable discussion of the forum, more than one hundred experts and scholars from China, Kazakhstan, Australia, Egypt, Germany, Hungary, the United States, and other countries and regions exchanged views on such topics as Xinjiang's archaeology, history and development.
Mohsen Mohamed Negm-eldin, dean of the Faculty of Archaeology at Cairo University, Egypt, stated that Xinjiang serves as a pivotal hub connecting the civilizations of the East and the West. It is not only a crucial region in China but also holds significant global importance. In Xinjiang, not only Islam but also Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism coexist, making it a worthy destination for scholars worldwide to delve into.
