On August 27, 2024, members of a research and study tour, including international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan from Renmin University of China experienced the art of traditional Uygur pottery-making at Tutao Village of Yengisar County in Kashi Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang. In 2006, the traditional Uygur pottery-making technique was included in the first batch of representative list of State-level intangible cultural heritage items of China.
