On September 13, the four-day inaugural Xinjiang Reading Festival and the Xinjiang Book Exhibition kicked off at the Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center. The theme of the Festival is "building a scholarly Xinjiang and sharing modern civilization". During the Festival, over 330 publishing and distribution units from both within and outside China's Xinjiang participated showcasing more than 44,000 book titles.
