Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Lu Fengbao) news: At 21:55 on October 23, 2024, the Y932 tourist special train set off from Urumqi station, carrying nearly 100 tourists from China’s provinces, such as Jiangsu, Guangxi and Heilongjiang, to start a 12-day trip to southern Xinjiang, which marks the 100th tourist train launched by Xinjiang Railway this year.
“This is my second time traveling to Xinjiang by train, and I plan to see Populus eupharatica in southern Xinjiang with my friends,” said Ma Zhuliang, a tourist from east China's Jiangsu Province.
In order to make the passengers have a better travel experience, all carriages on the tourist train are sleeper compartments. Onboard chefs have developed special recipes featuring Xinjiang’s characteristic dishes, and the train is equipped with experienced crew, tour guides and medical security personnel on board. At the same time, on the basis of the original 15-day grand tour of southern and northern Xinjiang, the seven-day small loop boutique tour has been launched to meet the personalized needs of tourists.

Wang Jing, project manager of the tourism division of Xinjiang Railway Tourism Development Group, introduced that in 2024, the special tourist trains have added intimate services such as airport pickup, tasting Xinjiang's characteristic foods along the way, and chartering trains between scenic spots without changing, so that tourists from far away at home and abroad can immerse themselves in the unique charm of Xinjiang.
Since the beginning of this year, the Xinjiang railway department has effectively utilized its industry advantages to establish and enhance the brand image of 'Xinjiang Travel by Train', continuously expanding its tourism offerings such as the 'New Oriental Express', 'Tianshan Express', and 'Huan Ta You'.
