Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Yao Gang) news: Jack, a content creator from Australia, has been to many parts of the world, but this is his first time seeing a dedicated accordion museum. He expressed that through the accordion, one could sense the locals' passion for music and life. On October 22, 2024, content creators from various countries who participated in the "A Date with China · Meet Xinjiang" media tour came to Tacheng City, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

A docent at the accordion museum meticulously presented the purpose behind its construction, the origins of the accordion, and provided comprehensive insights into accordion culture and history across various countries including Russia, Italy, and China. Jack attentively documented this information with his camera.
Local accordion performers perform to content creators and let them immerse in the wonderful melody of the accordion.
At the ethnic instrument hall, content creators enjoyed the performance of ethnic instruments such as guzheng and dombra. Jasmine, an Italian content creator, observed that music and musical instruments serve as a form of communication. She expressed her desire to introduce the city, which is renowned for accordion, to more international friends. And she was amazed by the variety of instruments in the hall.
On that day, content creators came to Haerdun Community in Tacheng City, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. According to community workers, there are 14 ethnic groups living in the community, including Han, Uygur, Kazak, Hui, and Daur. Families composed of different ethnic groups account for more than 30 percent of the total households. Since 2014, the neighborhood festival activity has become an important celebration for local residents, with residents contributing their dishes for the banquet.
Halidan, a resident of Haerdun Community, had played accordion and sung songs with his families for the content creators, and made delicious pastries for them to express their warmest welcome. In the interview, content creators learned that Halidan’s family is a big family of more than 50 people, including Han, Tatar, and Kazak ethnic groups, who live in harmony.
Laura, a Mexican content creator described music as the finest expression of the joyous life in the area. She noted that upon visiting the homes of the locals, she witnessed the beauty of their lives and the harmonious coexistence of various ethnic groups. According to Laura, everyone cherishes their life, and Tacheng is a place with very high happiness index.
