In addition to Uzbekistan, at the end of 2024, the Kashi Economic Development Zone economic and trade delegation went to Kyrgyzstan to sign the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" four-party agreement. At the beginning of 2024, Kyrgyzstan enterprises officially settled in the Kashi Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
"At the end of October, the Industrial park project of Naryn Province of Kyrgyzstan in the Kashi Economic Development Zone will be officially launched and the groundbreaking ceremony for factory will be held," said Ge Hongliang, deputy director of the management committee of the Kashi Comprehensive Bonded Zone, who was busy preparing the business trip to Kyrgyzstan at the end of October.
Through the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" project, China and Kyrgyzstan will mutually plan a site in the Kashi Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the free economic zone of Naryn Province of Kyrgyzstan to firstly set up national industrial parks, explore the development model of "platform + park" and "institution + enterprise", build an international cooperation platform featuring industrial complementarities, policy reciprocity and win-win cooperation, and guide domestic enterprises to explore international markets and drive outbound investment.
Kashi’s enterprises have gone abroad through the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" project. In the industrial park of Kashi Economic Development Zone in Naryn Province of Kyrgyzstan, Chinese companies will build four factories, including automobile assembly and light-emitting diode (LED) lamp production, and enjoy local tax and export preferential policies.
Huang Yongqi is the head of an enterprise of the Kashi Comprehensive Bonded Zone that settled in Kyrgyzstan. "Our factory in Kyrgyzstan is expected to be completed early next year, and the LED products will be put into production in the first half of next year. I hope to use the platform of Kyrgyzstan to make Chinese products being popular on international markets." Huang Yongqi said.
As a key project of the Kashi Area of China (Xinjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone to drive two-way investment and international production capacity cooperation, the “Two Countries, Twin Parks” project is accelerating in this year, which not only provides warehouses for enterprises of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, but also facilitates the development of logistics and processing industry trade in the future.
"Through the 'Two Countries, Twin Parks' project, Kashi's visibility in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan has also been enhanced, providing convenience for our further cooperation in the future." Ge Hongliang said.
Kashi is continuously planning the industrial and spatial layout of "Two Countries, Twin Parks" project, and combining the ten characteristic industries in the area, such as intensive processing of agricultural and sideline products, textile and clothing, assembly of electronic products, new energy and new materials, to form a complementary and driving role on the strengthening chain.
