From October 22 to 26, 2024, a delegation led by the State Minister of the Islamic Affairs of the Maldives visited Xinjiang, traveling to Urumqi City and Hotan Prefecture. They visited cultural venues, mosques, bazaars, scenic spots, and other locations to personally experience the true conditions of social stability, economic development, cultural prosperity, and the peaceful and contented lives of the people in China's Xinjiang.

After deeply feeling the hospitality of the people of Xinjiang, Abdulla Saudhan, the State Minister of the Islamic Affairs of the Maldives, realized that Xinjiang was vastly different from what he had previously known. "They accept everyone. They are like one community," he said. Xinjiang, in the eyes of Abdulla Shadan, was vastly different from what he had heard before. He expressed that Xinjiang is highly civilized and has demonstrated its capabilities and development level to the world. "Here, I have found the beauty of China."
