Major Snow, also known as "Da Xue" in Chinese, is the 21st of the 24 Solar Terms on the Chinese lunar calendar and falls on December 6 this year.

Major Snow indicates the start of the midwinter season. During this period, the weather gets colder, and the days become shorter. Ice and snow sports are favored by people.
