6.4-magnitude quake hits 85 km SW of Adak, Alaska -- USGS

BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 jolted 85 km SW of Adak, Alaska at 0015 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 43.0 km, was initially determined to be at 51.28 degrees north latitude and 177.42 degrees west longitude.
