MADRID, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid has three major injury doubts ahead of its vital Champions League visit to play Italian side Atalanta on Tuesday.
Jude Bellingham and left-back Ferland Mendy both had to leave the pitch in the second half of the side's 3-0 win in Girona on Saturday night, with Bellingham, who scored Madrid's opening goal and set up the second for Arda Guler, going down holding the inside of his left thigh.
The player was immediately replaced by Dani Ceballos with coach Carlo Ancelotti saying after the match that Bellingham was "tired" and he "didn't want to take any risks".
Bellingham now has just 72 hours to recover ahead of the visit to Italy and has to be considered doubtful for the game.
Mendy looks almost certain to miss that flight after suffering a problem in his right thigh with 10 minutes to go. The French defender looked frustrated as he left the pitch and a slight muscle tear would mean Fran Garcia takes his place in Italy.
Rodrygo is also a big doubt, after the Brazilian was a late withdrawal from Saturday's squad with a problem in his left leg, with Ancelotti again saying he was optimistic over Rodrygo's availability against Atalanta, but once again the recovery time is very short.
