RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Former Everton and Aston Villa winger Yannick Bolasie is poised to join Cruzeiro after parting ways with Brazilian Serie A rivals Criciuma.
The 35-year-old, who is a free agent, has reached an agreement to sign a one-year contract with the Belo Horizonte club, Globo Esporte reported.
It added that Cruzeiro had beaten off interest in Bolasie from several other Brazilian top-flight clubs, including Gremio and Fluminense.
Bolasie scored eight goals and provided four assists in 36 games across all competitions for Criciuma.
The Democratic Republic of Congo international has also represented Sporting Lisbon, Middlesbrough and Anderlecht, among other clubs.
