Over 100 tourists boarded this train to embark on a four-day ice and snow adventure. This marks the first special train for ice and snow tourism in Xinjiang since the start of this winter.

After entering winter, a continuous stream of tourists comes to Xinjiang. Seizing this opportunity, the railway department in Xinjiang actively integrates into the construction of the "Ten Major Industrial Clusters" in Xinjiang, makes great efforts to organize and operate special trains for ice and snow tourism, and helps the high-quality development of the ice and snow economy in Xinjiang.
The first ice and snow tourism special train has advantages such as dedicated berths for each person, The train follows the itinerary of the tourists. It stops when the tourists are sightseeing, leaves in the evening and arrives in the morning. Tourists take the train at night and visit scenic spots during the day, saving time costs and fulfilling their wishes to visit many scenic spots in one trip. To make the travel experience of tourists more pleasant, the special train also arranges on board doctors and "train butlers." At the same time, common medicines, sewing kits, reading glasses, hot water bottles and other items are prepared for tourists, making it more worry-free and comfortable for tourists to travel by train.
"On this trip, we will go skiing in Altay and also experience the Altay-Hemu Highway. I'm really looking forward to enjoying the winter scenery of Altay," said Zhou Fan, a tourist from east China’s Zhejiang Province.
"Considering the long winter season and the abundance of ice and snow tourism resources in Xinjiang, we plan to operate four more special tourist trains," said Lin Wen, deputy manager of the Tourism Business Department of Xinjiang Railway Tourism Development Group. "With higher quality facilities and services on the trains, along with distinctive itineraries and a variety of tourism products, we aim to provide both domestic and international tourists with a richer travel experience."
It is understood that this year, the railway department of Xinjiang has operated 101 special tourist trains, serving a total of more than 50,000 visitors.
