The third session of the 14th People's Congress of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the third session of the 13th Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee of the CPPCC opened in January, 2025 in Urumqi, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Foreign diplomats stationed in China, representatives from international organizations, and representatives from foreign and China’s Hong Kong-Macao media were invited to sit in on the opening meeting. Additionally, seven overseas Chinese and individuals from China’s Hong Kong and Macao have been invited to attend as non-voting attendees.

Through their experience of sitting in on the “two sessions” and visiting the region firsthand, foreign guests have deeply felt that Xinjiang is presenting itself to the outside world without reservation in every aspect. They praised the region's approach to development and expressed their belief in the bright and promising future of Xinjiang.

Shallyyev Charymuhammet, the dean of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Institute: China's Xinjiang has achieved remarkable accomplishments in all aspects. During my second visit, I can sense a significant acceleration in Xinjiang's pace of opening up to the outside world. The establishment of the China (Xinjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone has greatly enhanced Xinjiang's development potential and strategic positioning, and is expected to be a significant catalyst for the region's economic and social high-quality development.

Alobaida Ameen, Journalist from China Arab TV (CATV)：My biggest goal for this trip to Xinjiang is, especially after sitting in on the meeting of the Xinjiang regional “two sessions,” to present the Xinjiang I've seen to Arab netizens.When I heard the content of the work report on the spot, I felt that the local government is making numerous contributions to the development of Xinjiang. Many deputies also put forward many good suggestions. Xinjiang is developing better and better. I hope that if people want to know the real Xinjiang, or any place they want to understand, they should come to the place in person. I think that the real Xinjiang is being presented to everyone. Xinjiang has opened the door to the world. People all around the world can visit Xinjiang.

Because I come from Tajikistan, one of the Central Asian countries, with which Xinjiang has a very good relationship. And we are now all working together on Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program, which brings more opportunities for Xinjiang and our country for development. Xinjiang is opening very quickly,and we see a lot of foreigners are coming to Xinjiang and living in Xinjiang. I've been here for almost two years. I see a lot of foreigners coming to Xinjiang, to do business, to study, and there are a lot of opportunities in this region.
